Tecnomen has been selected to supply a prepaid voice service capacity expansion, as well as a new convergent data charging solution, to ALO-PCS in Nicaragua. The prepaid voice expansion will increase the capacity of the existing system. The new convergent data charging solution allows ALO-PCS to charge for multiple data types including SMS, MMS, and GPRS.
“This expansion increases the capacity and functionality of ALO-PCS and in addition allows deployment of new convergent charging services for the data market. Tecnomen’s system features a new range of value-added services focused on increasing ARPU. Tecnomen Charging provides functionality for prepaid and post-paid billing, charging and rating of voice calls, video calls, raw data traffic and any kind of content services in both mobile and fixed networks. The Charging solution has been pre-integrated with network equipment from leading network vendors, and in addition supports simultaneous use of different bearer network standards.
