tele.ring in Austria has awarded a contract to Siemens, in partnership with Tecnomen, to replace its existing voice mail system with the Tecnomen Next Generation Messaging (NGM) System. The entire tele.ring subscriber base was successfully migrated with no service interruption to Tecnomen’s Next Generation Messaging System. Commercial launch was in November 2005.
tele.ring is the fourth largest telecommunications operator in Austria with over one million mobile, data and internet customers.
The Tecnomen Next Generation Messaging System includes a comprehensive suite of voice services built on an innovative, future proof, all-IP open standard based platform. The NGM architecture translates directly into support for application servers as well as rapid service creation using VoiceXML and WebServices.
The adoption of Tecnomen Next Generation Voice Mail service in conjunction with the NGM system reduces tele.ring’s operating expenditures and decreases their future capital expenditures.
“It was important for us to implement a state of the art, future proof platform that is based on open standards. We are proud to find in Tecnomen and Siemens flexible partners for such an important project” says Mr Christian Laqué, Director Network Development, tele.ring. “We demanded that the existing voice mail services were rebuilt and that the subscribers were migrated without service interruption in order to guarantee our customers a seamless service.”
“This contract with tele.ring strengthens Tecnomen’s position in the next generation messaging market as a key player and shows our capacity to deliver cost-effective, scalable messaging systems. This replacement also highlights our flexibility in seamlessly replacing existing messaging systems. Our aim is to help tele.ring maximise their service revenues” says Mr Petri Nordlund, Sales Director, Tecnomen Europe.
The Tecnomen Next Generation Messaging solution includes some of the most advanced technologies on the market for meeting the needs of mobile subscribers today and tomorrow. With the Tecnomen Messaging solution, operators and service providers can build messaging service packages tailored to suit their individual requirements, and offer their customers the advanced added-value services required to succeed in today’s competitive market.
